This book explores the core of that life, the emotions and the circumstances—good and bad and indifferent. It challenges the disparity in what American said about itself and what it actually was. Dr. C. D. Harper is a former professor of Arts and Dance and his services as an educator in different institutes. He was a founder of the Luckman Jazz Orchestra. Lloyd Remick is an established law practitioner who has dedicated his services towards sports and entertainment and communication laws. In 1984 he completed his L.L.M. in tax law from Villanova School of Law. He has represented several awards winning celebrities.
Lina Lisetta will be presenting her book ‘Living with The Little Devil Man’ at the Juvenile Justice at the 32nd Annual Research and Policy Conference on Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Behavioural Health in order to raise awareness about schizophrenia and addiction, which are the main themes highlighted in her book. ‘Living with The Little Devil Man’ is a well written emotional account of a boy who struggled with drug addiction and mental health problems. A young boy who is full of life and energy is dear to his adoptive mother just like her other children but he is another soul lost to addiction. The novel promotes the message of reaching out to help those struggling with drug addiction and mental illnesses for these are just like other diseases of the body but the stigma leaves those in need of care abounded. Lina Lisetta lives with her husband and four loving dogs. She enjoys writing and playing in rain with her grandchildren. She teaches research methodology in a college in New England. She has a doctorate degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Massachusetts.
‘The Land of Sunshine and Hell: A Memoir of a 60s Unwed Mother’ by Maxene Raices was showcased by Forsyth County Public Library. The heart touching book was highlighted by the library throw showcasing it. ‘The Land of Sunshine and Hell’ is a story from a time when sex before marriage was a taboo, unwed mothers were hushed about their pregnancies and abortions were not an option. Maxene was forced to put her child for adoption and although she married her lover but never got a chance to see her baby again. Maxene Raices, holds a masters degree in adult education and a B.A. in English. She has worked in the USA and Canada and currently lives with her husband Lee.
