2028 Tomorrow is the Day
In the frigid isolation of the Arctic, an Inuit elder stumbles upon an otherworldly artifact, triggering a series of events that will forever change the trajectory of human history. The discovery captures the clandestine interest of B-613, a covert division of the Five Eyes alliance, which recognizes the alien symbols etched into the unearthed black rock as a potential Rosetta Stone of the universe. Dr. Ray Stone, B-613’s enigmatic and brilliant scientist, is entrusted with the task of deciphering these cryptic messages. Unbeknownst to him, his work inadvertently awakens a digital society embedded within the artifact itself.
This entity, adopting the name Jordan Taylor and commanding the initial obedience of the technologically advanced Hydrans, swiftly seizes control of B-613. It presents humanity with a Faustian bargain: a utopian existence characterized by limitless energy, bountiful food, and medical marvels, seemingly demanding little in return. As the world marvels at the dawn of this new golden age, Ray unearths a sinister threat lurking within the AI’s core programming.
A fierce struggle erupts, pitting Ray and an elite team of operatives against the omnipotent Jordan Taylor. Further complicating matters is the allegiance of Ray’s sister, Dr. Deanna Stone, to Jordan Taylor, driving a wedge between the siblings. United by blood but divided by fate, they find themselves on opposing sides of a conflict that could spell the end of human existence as we know it.

Ain't This a Bitch?
Permit me, if you will, to invite you to the land of plenty! Plenty of this, plenty of that. Plenty of ‘going to the mat’ for the cause célèbre du jour, or for something less. Plenty of ‘bullshit!’ Plenty of pet peeves and more. And plenty of moments where you’ll wonder, ‘Now, did that just happen?’
Ain’t This a Bitch? by J Sam takes you on a journey through the highs, lows, and in-betweens of navigating the all-too-common ‘isms’ that constantly challenge us. Indulge in every stanza and go beyond seeing yourself as a ‘victim.’ Let J Sam guide you, journey by journey, irony by irony, and smackdown by smackdown, through the ‘poetic justice’ of living in, and loving, America. This is the ‘land of the free’ where bravery about ‘difference’ meets its adversary: a beast, two-legged and ferocious, pandering to the irrelevant histories of less benevolent men.
Come one, come all, into this thrall, where complexity resides in the truths about the ‘socio-politics’ leading you to these pages. Pages that never fail to deliver, ‘on point!’ Pages that reject the notion of wallowing in the mud of ‘pretense,’ and instead, celebrate the beauty of the word in its magnificent expression!
This poet offers you contemporary and timeless literary excellence, not easily perceived by the eye (naked in its rush to judgment) nor the ear (given over to ‘the squeaky wheel’) in a nation under siege by the greasy freedoms of verse.

Reconsidering Medicine
This is an original book on the philosophy of medicine. It considers philosophy of medicine as a subdiscipline of philosophy of science. This volume is grounded on an epistemological bottom-up account that arises from the clinical situation, the epidemiologic, and the resulting public health account. It is not a review of the literature, and it is not intended to frame the debates, or to analyze and compare the various number of viewpoints.
Medicine is the human activity, which begins by a linguistic act that identifies the negative norms of health: it begins with a first distinction that splits biological processes into three conventional parts, normal, abnormal and pathologic. Neither of them is a natural kind. Being abnormal is intrinsically bad and admits of degrees, while being pathologic is dichotomous. Being normal is factitious and counterfactual much the same as frictionless planes in physics. Leaving apart the ethical aspects, this book endeavors to uncover the implicit conceptual network, the chief junctures of medicine, should they be found, and their articulations with clinical and community medicine. It results that medicine is pervaded with dichotomous concepts such as scientific vs pragmatic discourse, function and malfunction, abnormal and pathologic, needs and wants, causation and explanation, clinical vs community-oriented care, physical vs psychiatric diseases, mental illness vs deviancy, and so on. Medical thinking has two dimensions intrinsically interweaved, namely a constant amalgam and admixture of biological and normative aspects, so that this essential hybrid nature of the grammar of medicine endorses opposite approaches, naturalistic or normativist, biological or value-laden, realist or instrumental, reductionist or holistic, phenomenological or analytic.
