independent publisher, we offer a simple submission process, allowing us to discover
talented authors from all over the world.
Hybrid Publishing Model An Innovative Approach to Publishing
Austin Macauley has emerged as a leading force in the publishing industry, thanks to its
successful Hybrid Publishing Model. Once a manuscript passes our rigorous submission
process, we determine the most suitable contract for the author. This could be either a
non-contributory contract or a hybrid agreement, where the author may contribute to a
portion of the publishing costs. Our editors conduct a thorough review of each
manuscript, ensuring that only the most promising works move forward. This approach
allows us to make an informed decision on the contract type that best aligns with the
book's needs and goals.
Once a writer is accepted
as an Austin Macauley author, they can expect the highest level of care in turning their
manuscript into a published book. We have an extensive team of professional proofreaders
and editors, designers, illustrators, and typesetters, whose expert collaboration will
transform an author’s book to the next level. An author can be confident that we have the
skillset to achieve their book’s full potential, whether it is a collection of short
stories or poetry, an eye-catching illustrated children’s story, a moving autobiography,
a spirited young adult novel, or a piece of religious literature. We release our
publications in paperback and hardback formats, as well as in a variety of eBook
formats. We also have a selection of titles available in Audiobook for readers
on-the-go!
Austin Macauley has a wide reach through international distribution, which provides
readers with a rewarding experience in discovering, purchasing, and receiving an Austin
Macauley-published book anywhere globally. With distribution channels through print,
digital and audio, our books can be delivered directly to consumers and suitable book
outlets. Although we cannot guarantee that copies of your book will appear in
traditional brick-and-mortar shops, our in-house team, working with distribution giants
Ingram, Findaway, Overdrive, Inscribe and Gardners, collaborate closely through
relations and industry knowledge to build on appropriate outlet
opportunities.
Royalties are earned from book
sales and are paid to authors in line with the royalty period defined within their
particular contract. Most authors will receive a detailed statement nine months after
your publication date for the first six months of sales. After this, they will receive a
statement every six months. Authors can receive up to 60% combined on net receipts of
book and eBook sales.
If we choose to license the subsidiary rights to your title, our rights department will
work on your behalf to represent and sell those rights to other publishers. We mainly
work with translation, quotation, anthology and reprint rights to negotiate preferential
terms to sell your title to rights agents and publishers in multiple countries. We have
successfully had a selection of our books translated into multiple languages such as
Chinese, Danish, French, Estonian, Italian, Japanese and Greek.
