Gathering Volumes Bookstore has arranged a book signing event which will be attended by Richard A. Rajner for promoting his inspirational book ‘Hiroshi’s Story’. He will sign copies of his book for the customers of the book store and will be answering their questions about the book. ‘Hiroshi’s Story’ is a war story set in the background of the Vietnam War. The main plot is about two young Japanese soldiers who want to support their country in the prolonged war against China. Their military services last longer than anticipated but they remained loyal to Emperor, and honorable soldiers. Richard A. Rajner and his wife, Katherine, live in rural Northwestern Ohio. As a young man, he was awarded two dozen decorations in recognition of his military service during the Vietnam War. Later he began a career as a steamfitter, followed a teacher in Anthropology at the University of Toledo. He is also credited as an author a number of scholarly, popular, and history-for­-hire works.

Author Noel Colby to Attend Her Book Signing in Arizona

Author of Zoo Vet and The Otter Noel Colby is invited to attend her book signing at Book Haven. Noel Colby’s book is about helping animals. She will be meeting with fellow animal lovers and signing their copies. Book Haven is a lovely Book store in Prescott Valley Arizona. Zoo Vet and The Otter is a delightful children’s book by author Noel Colby. The story is set in a lovely zoo where the veterinarian Logan and the Zookeeper Scarlett help the animals on a daily basis. Logan and Scarlett come up with a plan to help Leonard, the zoo otter.  The book is informative and promotes empathy towards animals. Author Noel Colby is a loving mother who home-schools her children with the help of mixed media. She is a true animal lover and visits the zoo regularly. Her love for the animals has been transferred to her children, who visit the zoo with her.

Robert Durant Author of ‘In the Shade of the Oaks’ will be Attending a Book Signing

Robert will be signing copies of his book and interacting with the reading community of the library. ‘In The Shade of the Oaks’ is a love story of a 15 years old boy whose interest in a girl led him to change his life. Author has written the book as wish fulfillment. He gave the protagonist a start of life much similar to him but the boy in the story grew up to be as rich as the author once dreamt to become. Robert A. Durant was second last born in the family with nine children. He grew up on a farm. He starts working as an Ad Composer in newspapers and retired as a Lead Operator Technician from a chemical plant. He enjoys gardening, and spending time with his family.

Lina Lisetta to give a Presentation about her book at American International College

Lina Lisetta will be introducing her book, ‘Living with the Little Devil Man’ at American International College. She will share important information about the main character’s struggle with addiction during her presentation on Psychology of Addiction to health science students, where over 100 individuals will be in attendance. The book ‘Living with the Little Devil Man’ is an emotional account of an energetic young boy full of life who fells a prey to the demons of addiction. Initially, heroin is his escape from ugly reality. Later the addiction takes over his reality as he develops drug-induced schizophrenia. The book encourages us to love and reach out to help those who are struggling with addiction. Lina Lisetta holds a doctorate degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Massachusetts and teaches research methods at a local college. She lives in New England with her husband and four dogs. She enjoys playing in rain with her grandchildren.
