Patti Macintyre will be signing copies of 'The Art of Wishful Thinking' at Paper Plus Palmerston North on Friday 18th December from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. The Art of Wishful Thinking is an allegorical fable in verse, depicting the human mind's journey to self-discovery. Patti Macintyre is a New Zealander, where she lives on the Kapiti Coast. After a nursing career she moved into natural health, running her own business, before retraining as a teacher. Her artistic side saw her dabble in pottery and painting, before turning to her new main love, writing. The Art of Wishful Thinking is her first published work.

Jean Bunton - You can't Catch a Tiger by his Tale

Join Jean Bunton at Purr-fect Pets in St. Ives NSW on Saturday 19th December from 10:30am, as she will be signing copies of her latest book, 'You Can't Catch a Tiger by His Tale'. When Tiger swallows the television remote, he somehow finds himself trapped inside the TV! Every time someone pats his tummy, he's zapped to another channel. Tiger explores Africa alongside acclaimed broadcaster Sir Rufus Doberman, before joining a group of sniffer dogs on the Channel Two News! Eventually Tiger arrives on the set of a cookery contest. Will the judge approve of his unique concoctions? And how will he ever find his way back home? Jean Bunton is the author of more than thirty published books. These range from the children's books Hong Kong - Amazing Tales (1992) and Megan and the eBike (2003), to textbooks and pantomimes. Her musical, The Magic Jungle (2007) had its world premiere in Hong Kong, and is now represented by Origin Theatrical in Sydney and Theatrical Rights Worldwide in New York. Jean has a Doctorate in Creative Arts from the University of Western Sydney. Originally from London, Jean lived in Hong Kong for 23 years. She currently resides in Sydney with her husband, and Tiger, of course.

Richard Britten - The Trustee

On Wednesday 9th December Richard Britten will be at Books and Beans in Aberdeen giving an author talk between 2pm and 3:30pm. Copies of his book 'The Trustee' will be available to purchase on the day. Richard Britten has been an accountancy professional and seasoned commuter for many years. The endless hours of travel and commuting from the West Country to the Thames Valley led to a passion for losing himself into thriller novels of all shapes and sizes. Married with two children and a dog he now works, writes and lives in the Aberdeenshire countryside.

Sylvia Pink - Carolyne Mayville, Secretly Psychic, Detective

On Monday 7th December Sylvia Pink will be at Sutton in Ashfield Library signing copies of her book 'Carolyne Mayville, Secretly Psychic, Detective'. The event will be from 11am-12pm. Sylvia Pink wrote her first book at twelve, then acted it out to an audience. The story required falling out of a tree but she survived unhurt. She has enjoyed three separate careers and is happy being a member and volunteer for local charities, which have included The Rotary Club and The National Trust. Sylvia has been married to her lovely husband Tony for many years. She has a talented son who now has his own family and a stepdaughter who also has a family. Sylvia is a history ‘geek', loves gardening and walking her enormous and much loved labrador dog. In Carolyne Mayville, Secretly Psychic, Detective, Caroline Mayville, a sixty year old retired schoolteacher, lives a very traditional village life. She tends her garden, walks her dog and volunteers at the local fete. But all of that is about to change.

Sara Lilly graduated from Cardiff University with a BA Hons in Journalism, Film & Broadcast. She has been writing since she can remember. A self taught musician, singer and songwriter her debut album Butterfly has been well received.
