Returned and Reborn: A Tale of a Korean Orphan Boy is the story of a man’s journey of self-discovery from being a nameless boy to a man of goals and purpose. It is an account of an orphan boy who was sent to an orphanage by his single mother at the age of four. The orphanage sent the children to America where his foster parents used him and other kids as free laborers. He traces his roots back to Korea and gets reunited with his dying mother. It is a very intriguing and engrossing novel. Therese Park is an American-Korean author who has published four books. She was a cellist at the Kansas City Symphony. She has also written columns for Star-Johnson County Neighborhood News. After retirement, she became a full-time author. She has been featured at three national book fairs.

The author of I’d Rather Be Me, Bann Al-Sukhni is having a book signing event at Indigo Square One. She will be conferring about her book with the audience. I’d Rather Be Me is a children’s book which delivers a valuable lesson about being true to oneself. It encompasses the story of a young girl, Lily Dawn, who does not feel comfortable in her own skin and hopes to be anyone other than herself.  She dialogs with the animals on the farm and compares her life with the animals there which taught her a lesson for a lifetime. Bann Al-Sukhni lives in Ontario, Canada. She has a diploma in early childhood education. She is a juvenile author who is still in her 20s. She loves writing especially children’s stories. She also relishes inditing poetry.
