M.C. Combs will be discussing the inspiration for her book, ‘Darby, the Horse from Hope’, which raises awareness about equine therapy. She will also be signing copies of the book for attendees at the event. ‘Darby, the Horse from Hope’ is a story of therapy horses and how animals can be good friends for humans and teach them about coping with grief. While the story is fictional the idea behind it is very real and relevant. M.C. Combs is a retired business executive and wife of an aircraft accident investigator for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. She has previously published poetry and a novel about military life.
