The deal was simple: the developers would spend billions of dollars building the largest and most luxurious resort in the Caribbean on one of the most beautiful islands Simon Unwala had ever seen. All Prime Minister McKenzie had to do was change his mind. To help him change his mind, he gets a chilling visit from a debonair East African gentleman with an impressive resume and the personality of his namesake and favorite predator, the cheetah.

Patrick Rahming was born in Nassau, Bahamas on 3 July 1944, the first child of Osborne “Ank” Rahming and his wife, Nora Louise (later Nora Dorsett). He left home for McGill University in 1964, and after a wonderful time in university life, he returned to the Bahamas to practice architecture. Two marriages yielded six wonderful children, all now successful adults. For his work in architecture, music, theater, and literature he has been declared a National Treasure of the Bahamas. His second wife, Marilyn, passed away in 2021.
