The author begins the book by saying, " I am writing it because I believe that my story needs to be heard so I can impact millions of people's lives for the liberation of others".I believe this book has served its purpose. The cover of the book is wonderfully designed with a good shaded color attractive to look & the title also matched the plot wonderfully. The author has discussed love, harassment, suffering, abuse, and hope. He discussed how people were jealous and developed hatred in their own race. He has touched upon several contemporary issues too. As it is poetry every single word adds beauty to the book. Though it is poetry, it would be easy for anyone to read. The cover is so good. I just loved the book what makes the book unique is indeed its writing style. It is a novel narrated with poetic elements. Though it appeared impressive at the beginning, the lengthy paragraphs without any cut made it difficult to keep the focus on. With all its simplicity, beat, and pace, the poem keeps the readers hooked till the end. Thoroughly enjoyable and worth your time.
This is a very brilliant book about the author's life which has a lot of ups and downs. The author has a very traumatic life and the author has told this story in such a poetic and rhythmic way that is different and unique. Tyler is a man with an irregular past he got negative parenting from his father who abuse their family. Tyler has a brother after her mother and father. After all his father's abusive behavior Tyler's mother finally left her husband because his behavior has reached deadly to her sons. Once Tyler meets Lucy, who has a very similar past and Tyler is attracted to her. Sometimes empathy is greater than sympathy. But finally, after all of his taught him a lesson that he should appreciate his life because we live once. Very is very emotional and at some point, you feel very a pity for the author but for a book, the author worked well enough to make his readers emotional. Storytelling is awesome. I like the presentation and this is such a very interesting book, all my friends should try this once!
I Couldn’t Find Her So I Created Her by Tyler Harrison is the first book I’ve ever read that narrates the whole story in the form of poetry. Never in my life could I have thought of such a concept and expected to like it. But surprisingly, I was so invested in the book that I completed the book in one sitting. Being a writer myself, I can understand how difficult it would have been for the writer to write such a concept. Not only that, but even the story is so gripping and interesting that you cannot put the book down without finishing it. The fact that it is written from the author’s personal experiences makes it all the more real and interesting. This book certainly has it all - trauma, tragedy, hope, love, etc. The journey through which the author takes you is beautifully expressed. Apart from all of this, even the title is well chosen and the cover is gorgeous. I would for sure recommend everyone to read it at least once.

"I couldn’t find her so I created her” is a heart-wrenching and interesting story. It is an autobiography and that is not my usual genre, but oh boy, am I glad. This book is filled with twists, turns, and a considerable amount of suffering. The protagonist fell in love with Lucy and shared his life history with her including the abuse faced by him, his mother, and his brother at a very early age. As the plot progresses the suffering does not ease but Tyler becomes more kind and selfless. His character remained extraordinary and his thoughts were deep and prominent. The whole novel is written in a poetic manner. The wisdom that the writer imparts is precise. He focused on a number of universal issues and some minor ones as well that may have a big impact on our lives but we usually tend to ignore them. I will recommend this book to the ones who like heavy reads.
I Couldn't Find Her So I Created Her is a novel told in poems, chronicling author Tyler Harrison's experience with abuse, trauma, life, love, and God. Don't be afraid to speak up about abuse; it is serious. Well, this was quite a different read. It's a well-written book. The narration was captivating and the author got me invested in the book straight from the first page. I also liked the writing style it made me feel the emotions of the characters. I think it's a very important book. It deals with so many delicate issues like trauma, abuse, love. I think we definitely need more books based on these topics. I applaud the author for writing this book. I also liked that the book is full of various lessons from which we all can learn. The pacing of the story is perfect- neither too fast nor slow Overall, it was a good one-time read. I definitely recommend it, especially, if you are looking forward to a positive read.
This book is an autobiography written in a way of poetry rather than long reading text which was something very new for me. The author narrates his life story to the love of his life. He speaks about his childhood trauma how his abusive father destroyed his childhood together with the life of his mother and brothers too. Reading the part of the book really tore me apart and left me in the deep thinking of "How someone can do this to his family?" But it was really motivating and inspiring to know how the author managed to cope with this and didn't give up and started to make his life better. The book is written in simple and lucid language. Narration is perfect and it hooks the reader till the very end of the book. Characters are very well developed which drives the plot smoothly. I must add that some content can be triggering to a few readers. Summing up it's a book worth reading. It's heartbreaking and motivating too.
The book is the autobiography of the author presented in the form of poetry. The childhood memories, the pain he feels, the hard situation he suffered in his past is expressed wonderfully in this book. The book starts with a meeting between the author and a director, Lucy. The director met with the author to know about his life and his childhood. When the author starts expressing his memories the director can also relate to his life because Lucy had a similar childhood experience as the author. Characters are well presented and the plot is beautifully described. To know more about his life, you can pick this book. The writing style is also so simple and well explained and the language is very impressive. In the end, he gives us a strong message about self-realization. Overall it's a good read, you can pick and give it a try.
