Unusual and very interesting fictional book. I enjoyed it very much and gave it to my sixteen old sister who seems to enjoy it. Wished the end of the was happier than it actually were. Overall, I rate it excellent!

I just finished reading it. While this novel is unusual and has nothing to do with the chocolates, it is outstanding. I like the theme and its incidents very much. The book kept me reading to figure out what will happen next.

The story is impressive! It made me feel as if I am living on the Island of Bohol. The book depicts many incidents and details which made me imagine what was happening. I sincerely encourage the author to think of making it a movie, it will be interesting. This book is inspiring me to visit the country and the Chocolate Hills. Wished the author gave a clue regarding what has happened to Carlo or whether there will be a forthcoming book. I enjoyed your book immensely.

This is a nice fiction novel. I got the book from my aunt for the holidays. I am someone who likes to travel and found the story to be full of adventures in cultural and tourist settings. The Island of Bohol is now our family's place to visit as Covid eases up. The story made me live in a dream. I recommended it to even adults.

This story is very interesting and different. It was beyond what I had expected. Love how it started and enjoyed its unusual adventure and incidents. I also like the characters, the descriptive scenery of the island, the culture, and the tradition where the events took place. I wrote the case summary as an assignment for my English class, my teacher loved it!

A good storybook. Read it twice! I will keep the book in my little library. It is classic. Besides the various themes of this fiction novel, I learned something about this part of the world. Love to travel to Bohol and see the Chocolate Hills. The book made me do a google search on that part of the world, interesting indeed!

As an American-born Filipino, I am happy to read this beautiful story and impressed with the cultural details that the author provided. While I do not think that the author is a Filipino, unless I am wrong, he did very good research to learn about the cultural details and traditions. A very good story that I recommend not only to young adults but to all.

This is a good story that I enjoyed very much. It is unusual as I am an avid reader. I do recommend it to all ages, especially those over 12. I learned a few things after reading it, new words, new culture, new geography, the meaning of having a good friend, among others.

The story is simply fantastic! The description of the life of the fisherman on the island, the situations, the adventures, and the friendship were incredible. I can imagine walking toward the magnificent chocolate hills one day. While I love the story, I hope there will be a second part as the current one sadly ended with missing Danilo's buddy in the hills.

Just finished reading the book that I started last Monday and found it exciting. The first two chapter were pretty much cultural and background before the start of the adventures and the excitement. I love the main character-Danilo and his buddy Carlo. The story is interesting to me and to my friends.

I got this book from my friend on my birthday and just finished reading it. I must say, it is a fantastic novel. Very interesting, educational, funny, adventurous, cultural, and exciting.I told bunch of my classmates about it and encouraged them to read it. My BIG question is whether we will be able to know what happened to Carlo? Is there a second book in the market? I tried asking Barnes & Noble, they don't know. Hope to find out.

A nice, touchy story. I felt very sympathetic to the families of Danilo and his friends. Great lessons to be learned. I enjoyed reading it immensely. As someone has asked, is there a second book to know if Carlo is still a tarsier or what happened to him? . Overall, a thumb up.

I just finished reading Danilo and I loved it. It is a very different type of fiction. It made me dream about the Chocolate Hills and the Island of Bohol. My family is originally from the Philippines and we were not aware of the Chocolate Hills. And they want to go there over the Christmas Holidays. Wonderful book, my brother is reading it as I write this testimonial.
