Honestly, none of us expected a children's story about a young girl facing early school challenges with a huge imagination to feel this warm and encouraging. The way you show Penelope's struggle and the great lesson she learns through her imaginative journey really stayed with us.

I read a sweet and fun kids book, Penelope and The LMNOPS by Professor Goodheart. Penelope was struggling learning her ABCs. When it got to the LMNOPS she just could not keep them straight. She would even practice alone and they just for all mixed up in her mind and mouth. She was embarrassed. She cried. Penelope came up with a plan! She would fix this! However…the consequences left the teacher and classroom without monkeys, without noodles, without pickles, and…was in danger of being without Penelope! Can she correct this crisis in time? This book has wonderful rhyming, perfect for reading aloud. It helps children learn their letters while normalizing the anxiety kids can have when all those letters twist up their tongues or turn them into mumble mouths when having to say the alphabet out loud in class. It shows how quick fixes can backfire and patience and perseverance gives the win! Along with colorful pictures this story is a valuable fun tool to add to children’s reading. Definitely recommend!
