I've always loved plants, and yams were one of my favorites. In my home, there were always large yam leaves and in the center of them was always a drop of water.

Looking at them, they looked like liquid diamonds, and I imagined they were alive, and that they would go out in search of adventures. So, I wrote this little story about a little drop of water and its adventurous journey 'home' to the sea.

Hope you enjoy it!

Maria was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1931. Ever since she was a child, she always found a pencil, handy. She was very passionate about drawing and writing and still is. Doing painting was her main activity but the writing was always present. Creativity and imagination were the reasons behind this book, thinking about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has also published two books in Portuguese: Atlantis: Atol de Formigas, 2006 and 0 Rei das Orquideas, 2012. Both the books can be found on Amazon.
