Listen to the Master Criminologist Speak at Padgate Library

Ian Marsh, an established criminologist and the author of two criminal fiction novels, will be at the Padgate Library, Warrington. He will speak about his books and the deep characters he has created. His second novel, ‘Gemma Makes Her Mark’, was recently published by Austin Macauley. The book carries the story of Mark forward. Mark is in prison at the beginning of the story. He meets a young probation officer and gets into a relationship with her after his release. But what he doesn’t know is that the girl has her own agenda and aims to use him to exact her revenge on her mother. Ian is quite well-known in the academic arena for his writings and research on criminology. His first work of fiction, ‘Murderer: On Your Mark’ was also published by Austin Macauley and received praise from a wide audience.

The conspiracies and adventures in this book are enough to take you on a whirlwind tour of that turbulent period. The author hails from Coventry and has an engineering background. He also has experience of running his own businesses. This is his second novel and he has painted a vivid picture with his words.

Simon Adepetun to visit St. Ambrose Primary School

The author of ‘The Bee Hive’ will visit St. Ambrose Primary School, Manchester in early March. The pupils will be able to listen to Simon Adepetun read from his book. The author has a rich educational background. A degree English studies and a certificate in Theatre Studies have helped him create brilliant characters that are beloved by children everywhere. Readers meet Daniel Jeremiah Chambers, who has some family problems to deal with. His parents are very busy and never have time to listen to him. His sister is obsessed with her dolls and pays no attention to him. Distraction for Dan comes in the form of a bee hive that his friend Benji discovers. The two friends also find a map, which leads them towards problems that they don’t know how to deal with. He has to keep all the problems away, will he find a way?
