What Death Revealed, the book captures the city’s struggle with systematic racism, political corruption, and urban decay. Set in the volatile Mid-1970s Washington. The story revolves around two main characters, Jimmy McFarland (a young district attorney) and Larry Williams (a black police sergeant). Lash offers a new look of justice, conflicted racism to expose the criminal conspiracy tied to a multi-billion-dollar metro project. 

Jonathan Lash, being an advocate lawyer, brings accuracy to his writing through his firsthand experience. He had once been an environmental advocate and college president. His passion for justice and environmental reform can be reflected in his earlier nonfiction, A Season of Spoils.
