Author Vicki Shelton recently participated in a Book Signing Event at the Women’s Century Club in Yakima, where she connected with readers and fellow authors. The event featured 28 authors, and Shelton successfully sold 12 copies of her mystery novel, Murders in the Cascades. She also submitted her book for consideration at a smaller reading event hosted by the Women’s Century Club. Additionally, she had the opportunity to read excerpts and discuss her book at a retirement community, where she sold two more copies to engaged attendees.

Murders in the Cascades is a gripping mystery that begins with a shocking confession from an Alzheimer’s patient—he claims to have killed his lumberyard partner 40 years ago in Washington’s Cascade Mountains. Amateur sleuth Biodina D’Angelo sets out to uncover the truth, digging through historical records and unraveling a complex fraud scheme. Along the way, another murder surfaces, leading Biodina into a web of secrets, deception, and unexpected twists.

Dr. Vicki Shelton has had a diverse career, from academia to singing opera in Europe, before transitioning into financial services. Now based in Longbranch, Washington, she focuses on writing compelling mystery novels.
