Andrew Mudie invited everyone to the international launch of his much-awaited book, The Magwitch Fortunes, at the Zamia Theatre, Tamborine Mountain. The book launch event was held on Wednesday, 30th June 2021, from 5.30 pm till 8 pm. The book got launched simultaneously in New York, Cambridge, London, UAE, and China. At the event, the author talked about his book and recent discoveries.   The Magwitch Fortunes is a sequel to the critically acclaimed novel, Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. The story revolves around Pip and Abel Magwitch in 19th century London. Pip helps Magwitch before transporting him to Australia. Magwitch becomes wealthy in Australia and wants to return the favor by funding Pip. Magwitch returns to Britain but soon gets recaptured as a felon, to his dismay. Awaiting execution, Magwitch perishes in prison, leaving the Magwitch fortune to his heirs, Pip and Estella.   Andrew Mudie was born in London, England. He is a civil engineer by profession and has travelled throughout the world from where he got the inspiration for his historical books. Andrew lives in Queensland, Australia, nowadays.
