St. Agnes Academy for Girls Featured Our Author, Charise Leemis
As part of celebrating Women’s History Month in March, the website of St. Agnes Academy for Girls published an amazing feature about Charise Leemis. The article came out on March 10th, 2021, as one of the many initiatives the academy undertook to bring remarkable women in different fields to light. Children at the academy were taught about these women and their achievements. Charise Leemis captured the spotlight when kids were informed about women in writing since she is part of the academy’s staff herself. Children were introduced to Charise’s book, My Hollydog Rides in the Car. You can read more details here in the complete article.
Charise Leemis lives in Tennessee and has taught toddlers for 12 years. She has always loved telling them interesting tales that can keep their attention for a long time. The book, My Hollydog Rides in the Car, is evidence of her passion. This book captures real-life fun the family has had with their Hollydog and Charise’s daughter, Amanda Leemis, who also helped her illustrate the book and bring it to life. The book is perfectly made for toddlers and children.
