Famous podcast The Addicted Mind recently interviewed our author Mary Burns for her autobiography Saving Eric. The interview was published on their website on Friday, December 4th, 2020. Burns discusses the subject matter of her memoir as it relates to the stigma of addiction as a whole; the feature claims that “Since our understanding of addiction has moved from a moral issue to a genuine pathology, our attitudes have changed. But treatment has not kept up. Mary and Duane talk toward the end about how the protocol for addiction treatment needs serious reform to actually help the people that need attentive care.
