Camilla Chance’s book ‘Melissa and Kasho’ gets recommended for summer reading by ‘Read for Libraries’. The book is praised as a must read for the people of all age. Melissa in the book is a girl whose life is surrounded by mysteries and the feelings that she is being watched by someone all the time. She appreciates the transnational high society world but has admiration for the very human soul, Kasho, who has wastes of philosophy and inspires Melissa to develop her own strengths. Melissa realistic story for her struggle to walk a certain path of life and later on marry a certain man is when she finds Kasho, native man's spirit who values and appreciates her for being who she is. The book gives the lesson that there is always a way of making your life better but there is a question for Melissa and her friend, Daisy, as to whether they will find that way or not. Camilla Chance was born in 1940 and raised in London. She has always been a writer who got her first novel published by the age of 18. She graduated in Arts from Melbourne University. She has also served the posts of lyricist, a high school teacher and an editor throughout her lifetime. Camilla was the first non-Aboriginal to receive the prestigious Unsung Hero Award.
