
Prince Albert Daily Herald featured article about Michael Holmes’ ‘The Amazing Wildlife in the Prince Albert National Park’
Local newspaper, Prince Albert Daily Herald sat down with Austin Macauley author, Michael Holmes to discuss his beautiful photography book, ‘The Amazing Wildlife in the Prince Albert National Park’. This article interview dives into what inspired Michael to start this project and his positive experiences working with Austin Macauley as his publisher.
Michael says, “I spent four and a half months [putting it together]. It was a big project, and I showed it to my aunt and she said ‘Are you gonna get published?’ So again I thought about it for about a month I guess and I thought you know, why not?”
The book is composed of the wildlife that calls Prince Albert National Park their home. To capture the amazing world and the wildlife it contains is certainly an enjoyable and magical experience. The author captured the photographs of creatures like otters to minks and from beavers to black bears, not to mention groundhogs and wolf pups.
He also captured many birds like kingfishers, blue herons, ospreys, bald eagles, and merlins etc. Michael says that he had to spend three hours every day to get enough photos for the book. It was certainly worth his time, and he also got to enjoy the natural surroundings and its amazing wonders.
Michael Holmes is a simple man. He has been interested in wildlife photography since he was a child.
