Author Nancy Hopkins held a successful book signing event for Sassy the Green Tree Boa at Wolperdinger Bookends in Putnam, CT, on December 14th, 2024. The event turned out to be a sell-out success. From 11 AM to 2 PM, Hopkins engaged with readers, sharing her love for nature and storytelling, while signing copies of her debut children’s book.   Sassy the Green Tree Boa takes young readers on an exciting adventure alongside Sassy the Snake as she slithers over rocks, through fields, and swims across streams in search of the perfect tree to call home. The book is a vibrant, educational journey that introduces children to the beauty of wildlife and the importance of natural habitats.   A lifelong nature lover, Nancy Hopkins is known for her environmental education programs and expertise in native New England snakes. While she has retired from rescuing and raising snakes, she continues to share her passion through writing, earning her the title "The Snake Lady" among many.
