Author Michele McCoy returned to her very first school—Pleasant Grove School in Pleasant Grove, California—for a special reading session in the school library. She read to Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade pupils, delighting young listeners with the story of Apollo the Angora Goat. As a keepsake, each student received a custom-made pencil stamped with the book’s title.

Surrounded by a cast of diverse animal companions, Apollo’s adventures help children explore themes of kindness, cooperation, and discovery through simple yet meaningful storytelling.
