His interest in digging the history came forth from the extensive traveling during the youth years of his life. He was born in California and the family moved a lot from coast to coast. He became more and more interested in these lands and finally came out with a book, Leavenworth City, that narrates the 1854-1861 era of the city. This narration comes through a fictional character and reveals many unknown sides of this particular time period of the 19th century. The author’s dedication and native bonding to this land certainly make this book one of the best historical fiction books.
