Author Jennifer R. Chambers was featured in the famous Harrodsburg Herald newspaper on December 12th. Her book Macie Meets Her New Teacher, was lauded as the paper’s “Book of the Week.” Interviewed for the accomplishment, Chambers was able to share her views about this book and her writing journey in general. She talked about how she started writing at first and how her experience as an elementary school teacher helped her in becoming a published author. Chambers is an Eastern Kentucky University graduate. She holds a BS in Elementary Education and MAEd as a Reading/Writing Specialist, Rank 1, and EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Nowadays, she serves as the Director of the Literacy Specialist Program and a Professor of Literacy at the University of the Cumberlands. Chambers has served for over fifteen years before her career in higher education.
