Grandma Ness was recently interviewed by a podcaster on his YouTube channel, Firebreathinrob. She shared the inspiration behind her newest children’s book, Bernie and Babs vs the Virus, and detailed what she aims to achieve with the storybook. You can watch the full interview here. Bernie and Babs vs the Virus is a story directed toward children to help them visualize how our minds and body react to illness. The story follows the journey of Bernie and Babs as they battle the Virus invading their body. Through a series of illustrations, the author hopes to help kids of all ages to recognize the restorative power of imagination and our innate ability to heal our bodies. Grandma Ness is a painter by profession. She was inspired to publish her first book after her battle with Lupus, in which she discovered the best remedy was the power of the mind to visualize healing. She now aims to help children discover this ability through her colorful illustrations and story writing.
