The book is a contemporary family account of a child’s insistence and her parents’ patient persistence. Emily rejects all the attempts of her parents to make her experiment with new food. Only through her own process of self-discovery, she finds an alternative to olives. G.B is an educator, who has worked with children, teenagers, and young adults facing reading and literacy challenges. She is the author of the highly praised novel, The Secret Files of Phineas Foster, and edited and published several workbooks about vocabulary development.
