Camilla Chance was at the Byron Bay festival for Book Reading
The author of the book ‘Melissa and Kasho’, Camilla Chance attended the Byron Bay festival in New South Wales to discuss her book. The author had a chat with the audience at the event and described the motivation behind the book.
The story of the book is about a little girl, Melissa who lives in a transnational high society world that drives her to despair. She is expected to walk a certain way and is being bullied to do certain things that are required by her society which includes marrying a certain man. Her thoughts were transcendent of class, gender or power. She then met and made a connection with a native man named Kasho; who had thinking and values same as of Melissa.
Kasho is her friend who doesn’t dwell physically on Earth. Kasho could truly see her shattered spirit and her no inspiration for life. Kasho encourages her to fight for her rights and to stand for herself against the oppressive society. In this age of bullying and teen suicide, there is a lesson about making your life better and worthy of living in this book.
The author, Camilla Chance has authored a number of books which also includes the bestselling Wisdom Man. The particular book has already been published in 5 different languages which is not less than an achievement.
