Book Talk of the The Idling Bulldozer and other Paddling Adventures at Florida Sport Paddling Club
On April 28th, Donald D. Yackel, author of The Idling Bulldozer and other Paddling Adventure conducted a thriving book talk for the Florida Sports Paddling Club at Silver Springs State Park which is near Ocala, Florida. The attendees thoroughly enjoyed his uber informative presentation and even purchased the copies of his book.
The Idling Bulldozer and other Paddling Adventure is a book that encompasses ten paddling adventure stories transpiring in locations all across the US and Canada. In each of these stories, the author is enclosed with nature offering the versatility of conditions which are sometimes mesmerizing and breath-taking but at times these are frightening and petrifying. These stories provide an insight into a man’s life attempting to develop a deep connection with the natural world through ferine experiences.
Donald D. Yackel has lived in Florida and New York. He has always been very fond of water and boats. He used to spend long hours with his grandfather learning about nature. Over time he advanced from playing with power boats to sailing. He also learned canoe camping and kayaking, that is how he learned how to build a sailboat and kayak. He also hopes to inspire others from his adventures through his book.
