Barnes and Noble hosted a book signing for Phoenix the brave bird, which was attended by Paula Garcia Taveras on Saturday, April 6th, 2019. She signed copies of her book, the children loved her book. The book signing was pretty successful and the author enjoyed receiving plenty of love from the reading community. Phoenix the Brave Bird is a book about the brave bird Phoenix, who lived with hope in his heart and that is what kept him going through all the evil that destroyed everything beautiful and dear to him. Despite all the sadness he saw around him, he believed that he could restore all the beauty the woods had lost. The magical power of love and friendship warmed his heart with hope and he looked for a solution. Although the solution seemed simple and straightforward, only after fighting a battle within himself the brave bird was able to defeat the evil and restore the beauty he once knew so well. Paula Garcia Taveras lives in Cherry Hill with her son Alejandro. She believes children need to be raised with hope and a strong connection with God. She encourages children to believe in themselves and have faith. Her journey as a writer began when she submitted her writing for a literary contest held by a local newspaper where The Lion King and she participated in the third group. Now she is a published author of an amazing book loved by many. She plans to keep on writing more books for children so that they grow up to be considerate and kind.
