
Book Fair and Signing of ‘Newsboy’ by Bill Fairbairn
At the Rio Vista Salon Book Fair, Bill Fairbairn, the well-known personality in the world of journalism had a book signing of his book ‘Newsboy’, where he got a chance to see all his fans, who come for getting their book signed and also showed their appreciation for Bill Fairbairn’s book.
‘Newsboys’ is a biography by Billy Fairbairn. An inspiring story of a newsboy who made it big in the world of journalism. The journey with all kinds of changes, along with the achievements that have been a part of the ever-transforming media.
Billy Fairbairn, is an editor, photographer and a writer for the community newspaper. He lives with his wife in the Riverview Park Review, Ottawa. At the very beginning of his career, he started working as a newsboy when he was fifteen, as a part-time rugby reporter and an apprentice printer with Jedburgh Gazette. From there on forward he has been in the field of journalism, no matter what kind of change came forth. He also taught Journalism for two years, at The Cariboo College, now known as University of North Thompson River. He has worked in Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya. He has been awarded in the Canadian Press Club snooker champion I 2007, 2008 and 2016 at the Orange Monkey Salon in Ottawa.
