
Author Sarah Houssayni Gets Interviewed by a Local Newspaper, The Sunflower
Our highly talented and inspirational author, Sarah Houssayni got interviewed by a local newspaper, The Sunflower, on February 26, 2020. In the interview, the author attributed her immigration from Lebanon to the United States as the inspiration behind her book, Wasted Salt. The book tells the extraordinary journey of two brave female immigrants, Zahra and Noor, trying to make their destiny in America. Zahra is a Lebanese refugee and Noor is an Egyptian American webcam model. Both girls share a shabby basement room. The story takes a unique turn as a violent lover from the past appears in Noor’s life once again. Zahra is determined to get Noor out of the abusive relationship.
