
Author Karin Gertsch’s Children Book Featured in Gloucester Daily Times
The famous Gloucester Daily Times featured the book, Flora Has an Adventure written by our very talented author Karin Gertsch. The feature refers to the book as the one which “hatched an idea that has brought some magic to the TOHP Burnham Public Library”. The author expressed her views about writing this adorable book as “This book was written because I was observing.” She further added that “The lessons are there. They’re embedded in the story.”
The book Flora Has an Adventure, is a beautifully written children’s book. It's a story about chickens and hens. Flora who belonged to the Ameraucana breed. It sets out on an adventure with the farmer’s wife, Marge. All the other chickens get curious about where and why Flora is being taken away. The author Karin Gertsch emigrated from Germany to the USA at six and currently resides on a Christmas tree farm in New England with her family. Living with them is a Scottish terrier dog, Misty, and a friendly flock of chickens.
