
Author Karin Gertsch Had a Book Reading Event At Essex Elementary School
Flora Has An Adventure, Karin Gertsch, attended a book reading event on December 18th, 2019, at Essex Elementary School, Mace Ave, MD, USA. The author read the book for the children and took pictures with them. Children got immensely excited being with Karin Gertsch and from her kind love.
The book Flora Has An Adventure is an engaging children’s book. It's a story of chickens and hens. Flora who belonged to the American breed sets out on an adventure with the farmer’s wife, Marge. While the rest of the chicken's flock gets curious that where Flora is being taken, Marge and children in Essex get surprised to see flora’s abilities. Flora was not just a chicken but she had some amazing abilities that distinguished her from other chickens.
The author Karin Gertsch emigrated from Germany to the USA at the age of six and currently resides with her husband Emil and two kids, Peter and Elizabeth, in Christmas tree farm in New England. Her father was in the army. She published her first book, “Cape Ann And Vicinity” In 1997 and also wrote some short stories and novels. Upon retirement in 2010, Karin got eight chicken each of different breed and she started gardening and watching the chickens. Currently, Karin Gertsch has barns, tractors, an appealing garden and a flock of 30 chickens. The new community of chickens inspired her to write a children's book. Flora Has An Adventure is Karin’s first children book.
