The author of a beautiful children’s book Flora Has an Adventure,  Karin Gertsch, was featured in a local newspaper, The Ipswich Chronicle. The newspaper mentioned the book to have a human side also that the author didn’t expect she is going to experience. The newspaper cited the author saying that the book has helped me a lot. The author lost her daughter who was fighting cancer. The author also said that there is no getting over losing a child and life is all about curiosity which helped her writing the book. While she is having fun and is enjoying her trip, the flocks at home are worried about her destiny and are anticipating that something might have happened to her. The book has gripping illustrations that will make children love Flora. The author is a resident of New England and she is living with her family, chickens and a terrier.
