Austin Macauley’s brilliant author, Karin Gertsch, attended a school reading event for her book, Flora Has an Adventure, at Beeman Elementary School, Massachusetts. All the young students were excited to meet the author. There was high energy and anticipation among the students as the author did a wonderful reading of her book.   The book is an amazing read for children as it tells the story of Flora, an Ameraucana chicken who went on a spree with Marge, the farmer’s wife. Flora has the time of her life on her adventurous journey. The rest of the flock waits in anticipation as to why Flora was taken away. She currently lives on a Christmas tree farm in New England, her dog and a flock of hens.
