Austin Macauley’s star of children Karin Gertsch attended a reading event for her book Flora Has an Adventure. The event took place at TOHP Burnham Public Library, Massachusetts on Friday, January 24th. The audience was excited to hear the author read from her newly published book. The children accompanied by their parents were in a large number. The author read some lines from her newly published book. Along with that, the author also discussed with the audience and described what inspired her. To know more about the details of the event, click here. The storyline consists of a chicken who was gone on an adventure with a farmer’s wife named Marge. The flock had been anxiously waiting for them and they had been wondering where they have gone. The hens back at home were thinking about what might have happened to flora but she was having the time of her life. The book has beautifully made colorful illustrations that will take children to walk along with Flora.  The author lives in New England with her family, a Scottish terrier named Misty, and her chickens.
