Following the India-Pakistan War of 1971, Khawaja Azimuddin as a youngster along with his family was taken in as a refugee/civilian prisoner of war camp for two years. His book, The Boy Refugee, is a memoir that highlights his experiences during his camp time as a war prisoner and the two-year long journey back to Pakistan. Check out the memoir here.
Dr. Khawaja Azimuddin is a gastrointestinal surgeon who resides in Houston, TX. This book is his first non-scientific write-up. In his free time, he likes to enjoy and immerse himself in Art. He is a keen ceramic tile artist, and most of his note-worthy murals are exhibited in public places. He believes Art can help communities bond well.
