Austin Macauley Attended ALA Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans

New Orleans, Louisiana, was the setting for this years ALA (American Library Association) Conference and Exhibition. It attracted over 900 exhibitors, including publishers and authors. The event took place at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The event began on 21st of June and lasted till 26th of June.

After enjoying success at the New York Rights Fair, BookCon and BookExpo in New York City, Austin Macauley team travelled to New Orleans to attend the ALA event for the first time. Their stand number at the event was 3955 - and they had a very successful maiden conference.

Event was attended by notable figures like former US First Lady Michelle Obama, Sally Field and Viola Davis.

Being the oldest library association in the world, ALA provides aid in the development and improvements of libraries.

The annual conference and exhibition brings together publishers, authors and librarians for the promotion of librarians and the publishing industry as well.

Austin Macauley’s US chapter was front and center at the conference and they brought along many books from US authors.

Their stand was full of activity and many in attendance took interest in the brilliant independent titles on display.
