Far From Me is a story set during the Second World War. Based on a true story…the book is about two young Australians whose lives are changed when Britain declares war on Germany in 1939. The novel talks about the emotional cost of duty and the fragile hope that survives in dark times.  

If you enjoy historical fiction, this book is worth reading. 

Adrian McLean was born in Australia and spent most of his adult life in England where he had an academic career at the University of Bath. He later moved to Vermont and now lives in Canada with his wife and Border Collie. His father served in the Royal Australian Air Force on Lancaster bombers near the end of the Second World War and Far From Me was inspired by those experiences.
