Water and Energy Knowledge for Citizen Education
Water issues have long challenged human civilization, but the 21st century has brought complex new dimensions to this age-old problem. In the wake of 9/11, cybersecurity concerns have come to dominate water infrastructure management and research. The intensifying climate crisis further strains water resources and systems. Most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic laid bare drinking water quality failings, disproportionately impacting marginalized communities.
As the water sector confronts this evolving landscape of challenges old and new, public access to objective scientific information is imperative. This book bridges that gap, providing citizens, students, educators, and other stakeholders with authoritative coverage of cutting-edge water science, technology, and innovation.
Readers will gain insight into pressing issues like infrastructure cybersecurity, climate change adaptation, contamination and pollution remediation, and equitable provision of clean, safe drinking water. The text outlines state-of-the-art technological and strategic solutions while unpacking complex themes in accessible language. It is essential reading for anyone seeking the facts and practical tools needed to meet the water sector’s unprecedented 21st century tests. From concerned citizens to aspiring scientists, this book empowers all readers with the knowledge to navigate these troubled waters.

Who is Richard Stands and Why Do Our Children Pledge Their Allegiance to Him?
I remember my first day of school first as a student and then as a teacher. I was even more nervous as a teacher. I knew the material. I understood what I was supposed to teach. But I felt unprepared. When I walked into that classroom, I had no idea how to get my kids to buy what I was selling. After two years of uncertainty and self-doubt, I decided to stop trying to be something I wasn’t. I started being me. No more referring to my class as students. They were now “my kids.” A wise, veteran teacher once told me, “Get your kids to love you and they will do whatever you ask.” That’s exactly what we did. We started building real connections with the kids and their parents. The kids bought in. A lot of the parents did too. This family environment created daily rewards for all of us. These daily rewards were the reason we all wanted to be there.
Open the book. Read the first chapter. Then maybe the chapter on daily rewards. Relate it to your own experiences. See how we created a ‘Triangle of Trust.’ See how we created a family each year for eighteen years. A classroom filled with kindness, compassion, and a lot of laughter and joy. A classroom where good learning flourishes. It works. It’s fun. It’s a real family. Your family. I hope you enjoy it. I still miss opening the door each morning and turning on the light.

Wildlife on a Warming Earth
This engaging narrative about the harm global warming inflicts on wildlife is meant for a broad audience, people concerned about the climate crisis but without the time to read lengthy books with lots of scientific jargon. Written in an easy-to-read style, the story will appeal to teenagers and adults of all ages and education levels.
The story begins by introducing the narrator, Greta, an intrepid Carolina chickadee. Greta succinctly explains how all of nature is connected and why humans need to learn to respect the natural world on which they depend. The reader will learn how extreme weather events and a warming planet are harming some of Greta’s friends and other wild creatures on earth and in the sky and sea.
Greta admonishes us humans for creating a mess that only we can fix. But she is an optimist and appeals to the majority of people, those who listen to the better angels of their nature, to lead us into the sunshine.
Readers should come away with a sense of urgency, an appreciation of the dire consequences of a rapidly warming planet, a realization that they can make a difference, and above all with hope for a better future.

Multidimensional Healing
Multidimensional Healing offers a holistic physical-psycho-spiritual model of healing. While the current global healthcare system biomedical allopathy is well-suited to support physical healing using objective methods such as drugs, it ceased to be well-suited to support subtle energetic psycho-spiritual healing when its subjective method of psychoanalytic regression was displaced by drugs. The author Carol Dignam discovered an ancient narrative describing both physical and psycho-spiritual healing in traditional myths. When Hero myths describe men using weapons to kill bad guys to heal the kingdom, they are describing how allopathic doctors use drugs to kill germs to heal the body. When Heroine myths describe weavers meditatively ravelling and unravelling disharmonious threads until the weaving is magical, they are describing how meditators unravel psychic trauma until the psyche is harmonious. When both myths describe magical beings supporting the journey, they are describing the psychic and spiritual parts supporting healing. In search of a meditation supporting holistic physical-psycho-spiritual healing, like the heroines of old, the author began weaving together the cross-cultural subjective healing methods of shamanic journeying, meditation, prayer, and regression until a universal somatic meditation shone through. Likewise, in search of an archetypal system that accurately described the psychic parts supporting psychic integration, the author wove together the cross-cultural archetypal systems until the second golden thread of a universal archetypal system shone through. Like the Greek myth of Ariadne whose golden thread led Theseus safely through the labyrinth of his psyche, the first golden thread was designed to lead the reader through their psychic labyrinth, while the second illuminates the psychic parts therein supporting healing.

Dad: A Son Remembers
Dad was a proud member of the Greatest Generation. A navigator in the U.S. Navy during World War II, selected for his mathematical skills, he was assigned to transport ships plying the South Pacific Ocean. Even as a youth, his son quickly realized that Dad viewed the world as a place full of challenges and difficulties – interminable adversities that had to be anticipated, grappled with head-on, and surmounted. As a result, he had no patience for complainers, excuse-makers, or shirkers of responsibility. But more than anything, he couldn’t stand liars, prevaricators, or connivers; like many of his generation, Dad believed that “a man’s word is his bond.” He often said, “If you don’t give me ammo, I can’t fire the gun.”
Above all, he expected full effort in every action and could instantly tell if one of his children wasn’t giving their best. Throughout his 84 years, his staunch Catholic faith guided him, and by both example and word, he steadfastly imparted those principles to his six children.

Gypsy Moth
The primary goal of this book is, and always has been, to depict and illustrate the sanctity of human life, as well as the cycles of birth, death, and rebirth.
To achieve this, the author immersed herself in the perspectives of various characters, capturing their voices, thoughts, and emotions. By doing so, she sought to bring their experiences to life in a way that resonates deeply with readers.
This book is not intended to be understood purely on an intellectual level but to be felt as a tangible and profound sensation.

A cheerful tale of a lucky life. While intelligence can be useful, a touch of silliness often leads to more adventures and fun. Starting life with no grand ambitions or expectations means you’re never disappointed – instead, you’re regularly delighted to find yourself in fascinating situations.
Life sometimes feels like tubing down rocky rapids, where, with only the occasional use of a paddle, you somehow arrive in calm waters – unscathed and grinning from ear to ear.
