In Deadly Assumption, a young man witnesses a woman’s body being recovered from the ocean. He believes she is Sarah, the woman he had hoped to marry. Overwhelmed by grief, he leaves without learning the findings of the homicide investigation. Spanning generations and crossing borders, the novel explores enduring love, loss, and the consequences of an assumption.

Born and raised in England, Linden Carroll now lives on Canada’s West Coast. A former writer and editor of environmental publications at Environment Canada, she enjoys beachcombing and spending time in Washington’s North Cascade Mountains with her rescued canine companions.
