Willey and Shelley’s Christmas Adventure

The reason I think everyone should read this book is that it has an amazing storyline and the most unexpected ending to the three-book series. Willey and Shelley’s friendship is a great example of what a good relationship between you and your friends could be. This story is a good representation of what it’s like to start a new job and get the most basic and mediocre positions. From my experience no job is too small. I think you should do every job to the best of your ability. Overall this story of Willey and Shelley’s adventure at the North Pole at Santa’s village is like no other story that I have ever read. The children should really enjoy this book, and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

For all of you parents and grandparents out there, I just wanted you to know that I got my first book published when I turned 70 years old. No one I knew could even imagine that being a children’s book author was in my future. You are never too old to try something new.

The Loura Lure

Hurricane Rescue

After meeting in school and dating, Andy Thompson, and Milly Richards, grew apart and began their adult lives separately, though they still held strong feelings for each other. While Milly sought a career in Design, Andy joined the Navy and began training as a SEAL, but after an auto accident led to his leg being amputated, he was discharged and with his dreams all but destroyed, chose to live on the sea, piloting a boat and doing his best to make a living.

While working for a hotel chain, Milly was tasked with working on a new property in the Caribbean, but even though she was worried about a future hurricane, her boss ignored the threat until it was too late and the two were now trapped in the path of a Category Five Hurricane. Using her contacts, Milly managed to call home to warn her family about her predicament and her father contacted Andy’s family. When Andy learned that Milly was trapped, it brought back all those memories of her and realizing she meant more to him than anything else, he contacted his old Navy buddies and using a borrowed boat, they were able to barely reach the island alive just after the storm passed.

Arriving safely was one thing, finding the love of his life was something even more difficult in the destruction and chaos now engulfing the island. Reaching her last known location, Andy was upset to find she was gone and frantically searched the surrounding area until he was able to decide where she had gone and had a difficult time reaching her before they were able to plan how to safely leave the island.

Humanity in Trouble and Our Failure to Act

Crushing poverty, starvation, and dozens of militarized religious and ethnic conflicts. We have polluted our planet with toxic chemicals, oil spills, reckless dumping of trash on land and sea, contaminating the oceans with fish and fowl killing plastic waste.

This book is the result of overwhelming outrage and disappointment with our species, our failure to adequately address worldwide problems that threaten our very existence. We (if there is a ‘we’) should be embarrassed and ashamed. Nature has endowed us with near perfect bodies and amazing brains and for the most part we squander our evolutionary inheritance. And the greatest gift of all, consciousness, is under-developed in most of us. In this collection of essays, the author offers insights into the human condition, the reasons we have run afoul of the natural order, along solutions to alleviate human suffering on an individual and global scale plus some playful jabs at our human folly.
