But when the elf threw the stuffed teddy bear into the sleigh on Christmas Eve as Santa was leaving for his long trip around the world visiting the children and leaving gifts, he had no idea that something magical was about to happen. A magical bear was born that night, and for one little girl a very special friend came to live with her and her family, and things will never be the same again. Linda is a new author. Born and raised in Leeds, England, she immigrated to the USA in the 1980s and became a citizen. She lived in Connecticut for 40 years and, after her husband John passed away, moved to the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia. She has three stepchildren and four grandchildren and is a nanny to two-year-old Kylin. She loves the Blue Ridge Mountains and enjoys time on the Skyline Drive and traveling with her companion, Wayne, a retired DOD and campus police chief. She and Wayne enjoy being Santa and Mrs. Claus’s “helpers” at Christmas; she has been portraying Mrs. Claus since 2015 and sometimes an elf. She has been writing children’s stories for a few years.
