Brenda L. Demmans was born in 1951 in Fergus, Ontario, Canada. She now lives in Mount Forest, Ontario, not too far from Fergus. She worked in various office jobs during her career, the longest being as a clerk at the local hospital, first in admissions and later in the emergency department. She raised one daughter and has a granddaughter who lives in the nearby town of Arthur, Ontario. She took a few writing courses at a local college when she was 40 years old, and this is her first piece of published writing.
