Valerie Shereck is a certified adult nurse practitioner, certified yoga instructor, and currently teaches undergraduate nursing students at UCCS. She is an avid reader, gardener, lover of birds and all living things. She has been writing poetry since she was a teenager. This is her first collection of poetry. She lives with her husband and two dogs in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
