This book encourages children to value themselves because looks don’t matter, but being kind is PRETTY AWESOME!

Carli grew up in a tiny, one stoplight town, but always dreamed of living in a big city. She holds a Master of Legal Studies in International Business Law from The University of Oklahoma, where she also met her husband, Chad. When she is not reading or writing, you can find her chasing her two active boys. Carli is an avid traveler and loves to go off on adventures as often as possible. She currently resides in Oklahoma with her family and fuzzy cat, Winston.

I love this book and its message about how being kind is so much more important than how we look. This is definitely a book I will read to my first-grade class to help teach them a lesson about how being kind is greater than appearances and what others think about our looks. This book will also be a great addition to my classroom library for my students to read whenever they need to be reminded that kindness matters most!
