It all happened one day when Jonathan brought his lizard to show the class. Miss Weston noticed a note was being passed around the room. She also noticed that the children were looking around at each other and down at the floor. Miss Weston stopped teaching multiplication facts and said, “Ok, let me see the note.” The student had written the note in pencil, “Pass the note, the lizard’s loose.”

Sandy Gorman was an elementary teacher. She was also a reading specialist and shared her love for reading. Sandy has taught in Dallas, India and Honduras. She is married and has two grown children and two grandsons, and lives in the Dallas, Texas area.
