Amber Tambourine is a sad, lonely little girl who has moved far away from her friends. Then one day, she and her doggies, Bandit and Roxy, encounter a polka dot rainbow. Suddenly, they find themselves in the Land of Laugh-a-Lot, where people are happy – ALL THE TIME! They laugh, they play...then they laugh some more. In no time at all, Amber makes many new friends and is happy once more. But this poses a dilemma: Amber knows she must return home, but if she leaves, will she ever be able to find her way back?
Aimee C. Trafton is an instructional designer, writer, and blogger. Her work has appeared in Blasting News, Medium, and in her personal blog ‘Life Lessons for My Daughter.’ She lives with her husband Ken, daughter Amber, and dogs Bandit and Roxy in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. This is her first children’s book.

This childrens book is very much a feel-good book, light hearted and written in an uplifting manner. A beautifully illustrated colourful book which my 5 year old daughter loved looking at!.

Aimee Trafton's first published book is a delight for young and old. It takes you on a magical journey from beginning to end. Children will love hearing about how an ordinary day turns into quite an adventure for young Amber and her mother. We will hopefully read more tales from this up and coming author. I hope to see this book in many local stores as I feel that it is important to support local talent. Bravo to Aimee Trafton!
