In this creative Clarke Fable, a small beaver discovers his once beautiful pond has dried up and all that remains is trash.

With the help of his forest friends, amazing things happen as the litter is put to good use. Life is restored to the pond and to those who depend on it.

Be sure to watch for the monarch butterfly that appears on each page!

Constance Clarke was born in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and was raised and lives in Schenectady, New York. Influenced by her grandfather, she enjoys writing poetry. As a retired teacher and grandmother of five, she has long held the belief that children learn so much through what they read, which is why she has combined her poetry with original fables. She volunteers with a school reading program, a regional rehabilitation hospital, and the theatre. She and her family enjoy their summers in the Adirondack Mountains.
