From hatching and growing feathers to finally taking flight independently, Baby Bird grows and finds the courage to leave Mommy Bird’s nest. Mommy Bird urges caution, but Baby Bird is all too excited and quickly flies away high into the sky and begins to explore, soaring above the trees and rocketing over neighboring towns. He finds himself excited by all the noises and new things he sees as he wanders and meanders about using his new sense of freedom. His only destination in mind is one where he can discover more to fill the curiosity in his head that has been bubbling up since he was born in his nest, waiting for the day he could fly away free to investigate the world. Baby Bird wanders far from the nest and is soon lost. Will Mommy Bird be able to find him in time before the sun goes down?

C.K. Rice’s day job is being a registered nurse and her passion is bringing joy into the world. She chose to write Baby Bird, Baby Bird because her three children inspire her every single day of her life. Their names are Lily, Emma, and Andrew. Her husband, AJ, supports her in everything that she wishes to accomplish, and her hopes are that everyone has someone so special in their lives as well. One day, she hopes that her children will be reading this very same book to their children.
